MiPA Launch film
The challenge
Creating a launch film for NEURA Robotics’ new MiPA robot came with a major constraint: no functional robot, and no physical prototype available at the time of shooting.
Beyond producing the film itself, our role was to support the brand in evolving the initial creative concept to ensure it remained achievable, without compromising its ambition. The core challenge was to make the robot feel present on screen without ever having it physically on set.
The concept & creative solution
From the outset, the film was designed as a human story first. Rather than focusing on the robot itself, we followed a family whose daily life is subtly improved by a mysterious unseen presence.
This narrative choice allowed us to preserve the mystery around MiPA while keeping the focus on its true promise: support, care, and emotional relief within the home.
The decision to reveal the robot only at the very end of the film became both a storytelling engine and a production solution. It helped maintain a strong emotional focus throughout, while avoiding the need for a fully present robot during the shoot.
To bring this invisible presence to life, we developed a hybrid approach combining practical on-set effects, lighting design inspired by MiPA’s iconic dual-eye signature, and advanced 3D integration. The robot was fully created in post-production and carefully integrated into the family’s world for a seamless final reveal.
